On the 500-meter-high Breithart , near the Burgbernheim district of Wildbad , Deutsche Telekom AG operates the 118-meter-high Burgbernheim transmitter (also known as the Burgbernheim 2 radio transmission point ) for VHF , mobile communications and directional radio .

A concrete beam attachment with a tubular steel beam is used as the antenna carrier . The shaft length of the transmitter is 93 meters. The operating floor is located at a height of 80 m. At heights of 74 m, 85 m and 91 m, the tower has platforms for cellular and directional antennas. The antennas for the VHF transmission are located on the tubular steel mast. An omnidirectional antenna for pager service is also installed on this tubular steel mast at a height of 119 m .

Until the switch to DVB-T on November 25, 2008, analog television was broadcast on channels 21 ( ZDF , 1 kW) and 40 ( Bavarian television , 1 kW).

The FM programs of Bavarian Radio and DVB-T are broadcast from the Büttelberg transmitter , which is five kilometers away .
