The Gera-Ronneburg transmitter is a radio and telecommunications system near Rückersdorf (Thuringia) that has been operated by Deutsche Funkturm , a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom , since 1994 . The 163 m high transmission mast is used for VHF and DAB , among other things . In addition, this is also used for cellular and directional radio . Until the conversion to DVB-T in 2007, the total height of the mast was 175 m.
