Sepp Baumgartner (born July 18, 1922 in Salzburg , Austria ; † December 26, 2010 ) was an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ).

education

After attending school and attending the teacher training college in Salzburg, Baumgartner did his military service (1941 to 1945) during the Second World War . At the University of Salzburg , he graduated from 1963 to 1968, a study of pedagogy , psychology , philosophy and political science at the promotion for Doctor (PhD.).

School service

During the post-war years (1945 to 1948) Sepp Baumgartner was a primary school teacher in Altenmarkt im Pongau and Filzmoos, and from 1948 to 1950 director of the single-class primary school in Wegscheid near Abtenau . In Salzburg he headed the experimental school class at the teacher training institute from 1950, and from 1972 to 1978 he was head of department for secondary and special school teacher training at the Pedagogical Academy in Salzburg.

From 1972 to 1981, Baumgartner was chairman of the Freedom Salzburg State Teachers' Association.

Sepp Baumgartner was from 1975 to 1983 a member of the regional party executive of the FPÖ Salzburg and 1978 to 1980 member of the FPÖ federal party leadership. As successor to Walter Leitner, Baumgartner held the office of the regional council for tourism , homeland maintenance and road construction from 1978 to 1983 .
