Serafim Gomes Jardim da Silva (born September 7, 1875 in Pimenta , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † November 2, 1969 ) was Archbishop of Diamantina .

Life

Serafim Gomes Jardim da Silva received on 1 June 1901, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 12, 1914, Pope Pius X appointed him the first bishop of Araçuaí . The Bishop of Diamantina, Joaquim Silvério de Souza , donated him episcopal ordination on September 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Botucatu , Lúcio Antunes de Souza , and the Bishop of Campanha , João de Almeida Ferrão .

Pope Pius XI appointed him Archbishop of Diamantina on May 26, 1934. On October 28, 1953, Pope Pius XII. the resignation put forward by Serafim Gomes Jardim and appointed him titular Archbishop of Anasartha .
