Serafina Corrêa , officially Portuguese Município de Serafina Corrêa , is a city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul . The population was estimated on July 1, 2019 at 17,502 inhabitants, who live on a municipality area of around 163.3 km² and are called Serafinenses ( serafinenses ). It is located 215 km north of the capital Porto Alegre and is 126th of the 497 municipalities of the state. The Venetian Talian dialect is spoken in the community, which earned it the nickname Capital Nacional do Talian (National Capital of Talian).

It is located in the Serra Gaúcha region . Surrounding communities are Guaporé , União da Serra , Montauri , Casca , Nova Araçá and Nova Bassano .
