Sereeteriin Dagwadorsch

Sereeteriin Dagwadordsch ( Mongolian Сэрээтэрийн Дагвадорж ; * 1954 in Mongolia ) is an artist and curator. He lives in Ulaanbaatar and works in the fields of painting , installation and land art . Dagwadorj founded an art school in Ulaanbaatar and is one of the first land art artists in Mongolia and is one of the founders of Land Art Mongolia, Mongolia 360 ° . Dagwadordsch is internationally oriented and has developed projects bilaterally (Ulaanbaatar - Berlin / Tokyo). Dagwadorj became famous for his installation of hundreds of stirrups hung up at the Gwangju Biennale 2000 in Korea. Another version of this work is in the permanent collection of the National Modern Art Gallery in Ulaanbaatar.

Life

Since 1974 Dagwadordsch has been teaching at the College of Fine Art in Ulaanbaatar , Mongolia and ten years later, in 1984, moved to Surikov Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture . From 1984 to 2001 he taught at the College and Institute of Fine Art, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; in 1999 he was named chairman of the Oron Zai Association of Art Teachers. In the following year he finally settled down as a freelance artist.
