Sergei Alexander Dott
Sergej Alexander Dott (born November 23, 1959 in Berlin ) is a German painter , graphic artist and sculptor . He became known for designing pop art residential areas in Berlin and Zittau .
Life
Dott's father was a Russian emigrant and his mother came from Vienna . From 1976 to 1978 he learned the craft of pottery from Hedwig Bollhagen and from 1983 studied sculpture at the Dresden University of Fine Arts and at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . In 1988 he worked as an aspirant with Baldur Schönfelder at the Berlin Art School, in 1990 he went to Vienna to attend Alfred Hrdlicka 's master class . Since 1991 he has been working freelance, mainly in Berlin and Brandenburg.
In the 1990s and at the beginning of the 21st century, Dott undertook several extensive study trips, including to Russia, Cuba, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, France and Venezuela.

Fuggerium in Augsburg
In 2010, Dott won 1st prize in the Augsburg Media Prize in the "Idea" category with the design for an interactive memorial for the businessman Jakob Fugger . In his workshop in Tiefensee between 2010 and 2012 he created the Fuggerium , a life-size bust of the wealthy entrepreneur. On the occasion of the city's 2nd media award, the Fuggerium was presented in Augsburg in 2012. The figure shows Fugger in the traditional vestments worn by merchants in the 16th century. Equipped with monitors and an internet connection, the art object in the Augsburg cityscape should enable the interactive exchange of information as a center of modern interaction .
