Sevan Gokoglu

Sevan Gökoğlu (born May 29, 1982 ; † July 21, 2019 in Mannheim ) was a German keyboardist , composer and music producer .

He was the son of the musician Rupen Gökoğlu and only received his first piano lessons at the age of 14.

Although he soon showed great musical talent, at the age of 18 he began an apprenticeship as a retail salesman at Mister Music in Schramberg . In 2005 he went to study music at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim , where he quickly established himself as an internationally sought-after keyboard player.

Sevan Gökoğlu played with Sasha , Xavier Naidoo , Jan Delay , Max Herre , Adel Tawil , the Swiss singer Stefanie Heinzmann and others, and was involved in their CD productions. Because of his versatility, he was considered an exceptional musician.

He also worked for the Korg company as a product tester and brand ambassador.

On July 19, 2019, Gökoğlu was still on stage at the Moon & Stars festival in Locarno with Stefanie Heinzmann . Two days later, on the night of July 21, he died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest at the age of 37.

He was married to the singer Katia Belley.
