Sex strike! is a German television film from 2010 . The film comedy is loosely based on the motifs of the ancient comedy Lysistrata by Aristophanes .

The married couple Julia and Martin Fischer live in the small town of Schönstett. After Martin's small company had to file for bankruptcy, he was unemployed and stayed at home as a househusband, while Julia earned her money as the mayor's secretary. When the mayor believes he is liberating his structurally weak region from Italy with the help of an economic deal, the unemployed are hopeful that they will soon have a job again. A waste recycling plant is to be built soon. However, Julia discovers in the documents that not only household waste, but also toxic waste should be delivered from Italy. Her husband doesn't listen to her concerns, however. To prevent the plant, she and other women decide to go on a sit-in strike, which soon ends in a sex strike .
