This is for the middle- Sextental lying center of the municipality Sexten given. From the district of Moos (46 ° 41 ′ N , 12 ° 22 ′ E ) at the entrance to the Fischlein Valley, it is best to observe that the sun is at its highest level during the day at (true) noon , 12 o'clock true local time, precisely in the south above the midnight ( 46 ° 37 'N, 12 ° 22' E).

Shifted by an hour each time, the sun - with a day arc that varies with the season - is approximately above the named neighboring mountain peaks. In earlier times of the population of Sesto, this correspondence indicated the time of day quite reliably . There was no need to buy a sundial device.
