Shadanand ( Nepali षडानन्द ) is a city (municipality) in eastern Nepal in the Bhojpur district .

The city was named after Bala Guru Shadanand . The city was created at the end of 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Keurepani , Khartimchha , Kimalung , Mulpani and Tunggochha . Shadanand is located 25 km north-northeast of the district capital Bhojpur . The Arun flows east of Shadanand to the south. The urban area covers 101.5 km².

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Shadanand had 13,272 residents (6,292 male) in 2,849 households.
