Xu Xiaolong ( Chinese  徐 曉龍  /  徐 晓龙 , Pinyin Xú Xiǎolóng; born December 20, 1992 in Chongqing ) is a Chinese triple jumper .

Athletic career

Xu Xiaolong gained his first international experience at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan , where he finished fifth with 16.59 m. Then he won the bronze medal at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju with 16.76 m behind Russian Dmitri Sorokin and Hugues Fabrice Zango from Burkina Faso. He qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , where he was eliminated with 16.19 m in qualification . The following year he took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and was eleventh there with 16.41 m in the final . At the Asian Athletics Championships 2017 in Bhubaneswar he won the bronze medal with 16.45 m behind his compatriot Zhu Yaming and Mark Harry Diones from the Philippines. Two years later he also secured the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Doha with 16.81 m, this time behind the Uzbek Ruslan Kurbanov and compatriot Zhu.

In 2014, Xu became the Chinese triple jump champion.
