Shaibu Amodu

Shaibu Amodu (born April 18, 1958 in Edo ; † June 11, 2016 ) was a Nigerian football coach . Since April 2008 he coached the Nigerian national soccer team until he was replaced by Lars Lagerbäck in February 2010 , although he had qualified for the 2010 World Cup and third place in the Africa Cup with Nigeria .

Amodu had previously coached the Nigerians several times, most recently in 2002. Other stages in his career have included Shooting Stars FC , BBC Lions , Orlando Pirates and Sharks FC . On October 16, 2014, Amodu was appointed national coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles for the fifth time .
