The Shambolic Shrinks were a Swiss rock band from the Zurich Oberland .
history
The Shambolic Shrinks were founded in 2015 by Roman Brechbühl ( drums ), Andreas Egli ( guitar ) and Mario Hasler ( electric bass ). Then came Simon Kuhn ( vocals ), who grew up near Frankfurt , Germany and has lived in Switzerland since 2012, and Lukas Egli (guitar). In May 2016 the "Shrinks" won a music competition, whereupon they were allowed to open the Rock the Ring in front of bands like Queen , Marillion and Stefanie Heinzmann . In the same year they also made it to the final of the Swiss Emergenza Band Contest in Bierhübeli , Bern . On January 7th, 2017, their first LP Stories for Mondays was released. In the same year the band played at festivals such as the Stars in Town in Schaffhausen , Openair Volketswil, Rockfest Schmerikon and played a major European tour in Germany, the Czech Republic , Poland and Slovakia . After this tour, bassist Matthias Bürge resigned at the end of 2017. In his place, Mario Hasler, who until then was 3rd guitar, took over the bass. On May 9, 2018, the Shambolic Shrinks christened their second LP at Scala in Wetzikon and officially released it two days later on May 11, 2018. With this album, they entered the official Swiss album charts a week later on the 19th place.
After further big concerts in 2019, including at the Heiteren Openair and for the second time at Rock the Ring , things got quiet around the band at the end of 2019. Dissolution rumors made the rounds. After 6 months of radio silence, finally the redeeming news. The Shambolic Shrinks still exist, but now under the name "Shrinx" and without a drummer and founding member Roman Brechbühl. Shortly afterwards, the band announced new single releases for summer 2020 and a third studio album in 2021.
