Sharon Colyear

Sharon Colyear (married Danville; born April 22, 1955 in Manchester ) is a former British sprinter and hurdler .

In 1974 she retired from the European Athletics Championships in Rome over 200 m in the semifinals.

At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976 it reached about 100 m the quarter-finals and 100m hurdles semi-final. In the 4 x 100 meter relay she came in eighth place with the British team.

In 1977 she was sixth over 60 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in San Sebastián . The following year she won bronze over 100 m hurdles and gold in the 4 x 100 meter relay for England starting at the Commonwealth Games in 1978 in Edmonton . At the European Championships in Prague , she was eliminated over 100 m hurdles in the semi-finals and won silver with the British 4 x 100 meter relay.

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she reached the semi-finals over 100 m hurdles .

In 1976 and 1978 she was the English champion over 100 m hurdles and in 1971 over 200 m hurdles. In 1974 she became English indoor champion over 400 m and in 1979 in the long jump .
