She Must Burn is a melodic deathcore band from London , United Kingdom , formed in 2014 .
history
The group was founded in 2014 in the English capital of London and, after several line-up changes, consists of singer Joseph Louis Sinclair, guitarist James Threadwell and Jonny Davies, bassist Frank Korsair and drummer Daniel Ristic. Keyboardist and backing singer Aimy Miller left the group shortly after the release of their debut album Grimoire .
In 2015, the EP Under the Shadows was released with six titles on its own. After the group signed a record deal with Artery Recordings , it was reissued under the name She Must Burn . On March 3, 2017, Grimoire, their debut album about the record company, was released. Sean Harmanis from Make Them Suffer and Scott Lewis from Carnifex could be won as guest musicians . After the first week of sales, the album was sold almost 1,700 times in the United States, which resulted in the album being listed in the US Heatseekers charts .
Between February 1 and March 16, 2017, the group toured the United States for the first time as an opener for Despised Icon , Carnifex, Fallujah , Lorna Shore and Rings of Saturn . She Must Burn previously opened for Cradle of Filth and Heart of a Coward in October and November 2015 . On June 9, 2017 the group will play at the Download Festival in Donington Park .
style
She Must Burn's music is described as Metalcore with borrowings from Gothic Metal or even Black Metal . Musical influences include Cradle of Filth and Bleeding Through . The use of a female singing voice also led in several reviews to the fact that there was talk of a contrasting program. In their music the band works with breakdowns , hooklines and the use of keyboards . The music is also compared to Carnifex and Make Them Suffer . At times the music is reminiscent of Behemoth , Deadlock and Abigail Williams .
