Rings of Saturn is a US-based technical death metal - and deathcore band from Dublin ( California ), which was founded in the year of 2009.
history
The band was founded in 2009 by Lucas Mann and first attracted attention after the song Abducted was made available for download in the fall of that year . Towards the end of the year, the debut album Embryonic Anomaly followed as a self-release. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson at Mayhemenness Studios in Sacramento . Four months later, the band signed a contract with Unique Leader Records , where in May 2010 the debut album was re-released.
In 2011 the band held two tours, before four more tours followed in 2012. In addition to three concert tours in 2013, the second album Dingir was released in the same year . At the end of the year, drummer Jesse Beahler left the band.
The band has played with groups such as Animals as Leaders , Aborted , Beneath the Massacre , Between the Buried and Me , Cannibal Corpse , Carnifex , Cattle Decapitation , Decapitated , Decrepit Birth , Exhumed , Fleshgod Apocalypse , Goatwhore , Job for a Cowboy , Origin , Periphery , Structures , Suffocation , The Faceless and Veil of Maya .
style
According to Tyler Lowery from nocleansinging.com, the band on Dingir play partly deathcore, where the riffs are reminiscent of Whitechapel and partly technical death metal riffs that would be reminiscent of Obscura's Omnivium . There are also passages with a clean guitar sound, which are similar to those of "The Faceless".
