Dublin is a city with the status of a City in Alameda County in the US state of California . The population is around 63,445 (as of 2018). Dublin is also the seat of the county administration .
Location and infrastructure
Dublin is at the junction of Interstate 580 and 680 east of Oakland . Dublin is also connected to San Francisco and other Bay Area cities via the BART , the station here is called Dublin / Pleasanton or West Dublin. Pleasanton is the neighboring city of Dublin, both are separated by Interstate 580 and the BART .
One of the oldest church buildings, Old St. Raymond's Church , built in 1859 , is located in Dublin. It was built by Irish immigrants.
Demographics
The 2010 census showed a population of 46,036. This increased the urban population by more than 16,000 within a decade. In 2000, a little over 29,000 people lived in Dublin. The demographic structure of the population groups shows that a relative majority, namely 44 percent, are white. The proportion of citizens of Asian descent is above average, with 26 percent making up more than a quarter of the population. Latinos make up 14 percent, which is below the California average. Other populations such as African Americans are a minority. The African American population is just over nine percent. The 2010 census also showed that the number of households was 14,913, with an average of 3.08 people per household. The median age of the population was 35.3 years, while there were 108.8 men for every 100 women.
