Sheila Wolf is a fictional character of the travesty and cabaret artist Wolf Teichert (born March 15, 1969 in Berlin ), who appears as a drag queen and representative of New Burlesque under the name Sheila Wolf . In addition to appearances at all German and many European burlesque festivals , he is the founder of the Vaudeville Variety Revue and the German Boylesque Drag Festival . He works as a performer, model, actor and presenter.

Teichert grew up as the elder of two brothers in the Berlin-Neukölln district and trained as a typesetter at the Bundesdruckerei . He then worked as a graphic designer at CitySatz GmbH. The passion for rock'n'roll shaped many years. At the age of 34 he discovered the art of travesty and quickly integrated the style of rockabilly into his fictional character Sheila Wolf, Berlin's only queer rockabella .

Sheila Wolf has been working as a columnist for the queer culture and lifestyle magazine Queerlesque since 2004 and wrote for the print magazine gaymaxx in Berlin from 2012 to 2014 .

The step into the burlesque world, which was just blossoming in 2006, was inspired by Germany's first burlesque-comedy-a-go-go troupe The Teaserettes , whose founder Sandra Steffl was largely responsible for conquering the stage. After the first small co-productions in the Berlin burlesque scene , Sheila Wolf was able to organize her own events from 2012 to 2014 with the first three of her own events called Queerlesque Festival .

In 2012 Sheila Wolf appeared as the main actor in the music video of Morten Harket , the lead singer of the group A-ha , and for the first time showed the person behind the fictional character and the transformation. The video won an award at the 2013 Transgender Film Festival in Kiel.

Since 2014, Sheila Wolf has been producing a revue called Vaudeville Variety Burlesque Revue in Berlin's largest theaters, such as Admiralspalast , Tipi am Kanzleramt and Wintergarten Berlin , moderates a large number of German burlesque festivals and appears at European burlesque festivals and corporate events as a performer or Walking act on.

From 2018 the artist toured with the dance troupe Die Gl'Amouresque as a burlesque late night show through theaters such as Bar every reason and comedy on the old town market .

In 2019, the idea arose to work with the Vienna Boylesque Festival and to develop a similar concept for Germany. In May 2019 Germany's first Boylesque Drag Festival took place over two days.

The fact that Wolf Teichert, a heterosexual father, is on stage as the fictional character Sheila Wolf is still considered unusual and prompted both local broadcasters and private television to report on the "double life".

In 2020 Wolf took over the role of styling expert in the drag makeover program The Diva in me on TVNOW .

Since the second Vaudeville Variety Burlesque Revue in Berlin, Sheila Wolf has been collecting donations from well-known companies for a raffle at each revue in order to donate 100% of the proceeds to the homeless aid strassenfeger mob eV. She also supports the sleep out Berlin campaign together with many other well-known people.
