Sheldon Adam Richardson (* 29. November 1990 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Cleveland Browns as a defensive tackle . He previously played for the New York Jets , the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings .
Career
college
Richardson began his studies at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia , California , but then moved to the University of Missouri , where he successfully played college football for two years for their team, the Tigers .

In the 2013 NFL Draft , he was selected by the New York Jets in the first round as 13th overall. Already in his rookie year he was used in all games, with one exception even as a starter . In addition to his traditional position in the defensive line , he was also used as fullback in some games and was even able to achieve two touchdowns .
For his consistently good performance, he was appointed to the Pro Bowl in 2014 .
On July 2, 2015, the NFL banned Richardson for marijuana abuse for the first four games of the coming season.
Seattle Seahawks
On September 1, 2017, the Jets Richardson swapped for the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for receiver Jermaine Kearse and a second-round pick in the 2018 draft.
Minnesota Vikings
On March 16, 2018, Richardson signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings that guaranteed him $ 8 million and an additional $ 3 million in bonus payments.
Cleveland Browns
In March 2019, the Cleveland Browns signed Richardson for three years. He was awarded a $ 39 million contract, of which $ 21.5 million is guaranteed.
