Shōtarō Shiroyama (born March 6, 1995 ) is a Japanese long jumper .

Athletic career

Shōtarō Shiroyama gained his first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2014 in Taipei , where he won the bronze medal with 7.70 m, as well as at the Junior World Championships in Eugene a little later with wind-assisted 7.83 m. In 2017 he took part in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar and won the bronze medal there with 7.97 m behind the Chinese Huang Changzhou and Chan Ming Tai from Hong Kong. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished fifth with a new personal best of 7.98 m. The following year he was fifth with a width of 7.78 m at the Asian Championships in Doha . He also qualified for the world championships there and finished eleventh with a width of 7.77 m in the final .
