Huang Changzhou (born August 20, 1994 in Deyang ) is a Chinese long jumper .

Athletic career

Huang Changzhou gained his first international experience at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan , where he failed to make a valid attempt. The following year he finished fifth at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with 7.81 m and thus qualified for the World Indoor Championships in Portland , where he won the bronze medal behind the American Marquis Dendy and Fabrice Lapierre from Australia with 7.21 m won. In the summer he took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and reached eleventh place with 7.86 m in the final . In 2017 he won the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with a jump of 8.09 m and thus received a bye for the World Championships , where he was eliminated with 7.70 m in qualification . In 2018 he finished tenth at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 7.75 m. The following year he won the bronze medal behind the Japanese Yūki Hashioka and his compatriot Zhang Yaoguang at the Asian Championships in Doha with a width of 7.97 m . So he qualified for the World Championships there , where he was eliminated with 7.81 m in the preliminary round. He then won the silver medal behind his compatriot Wang Jianan at the World Military Games in Wuhan with a width of 8.12 m .

In 2019, Huang became the Chinese long jump champion.
