The Siagne is a river in France that runs in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises under the name Vallon de Thiey on the southern flank of the Montagne Thiey mountain range , in the Préalpes d'Azur Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Escragnolles , first drains to the southwest, then turns to the southeast and flows after 44 kilometers just west of Cannes in the municipal area from Mandelieu-la-Napoule , into the Mediterranean . On its way, the Siagne crosses the Alpes-Maritimes department and also forms the border to the neighboring Var department over a long stretch .

Hydrography
Water is taken from the upper reaches of the river and diverted via the Canal de la Siagne to supply drinking water to the cities of Grasse and Cannes .
Attractions
- The valley in the upper reaches of the river is registered under the name Gorges de la Siagne as a Natura 2000 reserve under the code FR9301574.
- To the northwest of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, the Siagne is reinforced by the karst spring Exsurgence de la Foux , also called Grotte de la Foux . After heavy rain, this usually shows a large fill . It is the lower exit of the Grotte de Paques .
