Sid-Ahmed Bouziane (born July 18, 1983 ) is a football player with French and Algerian citizenship.

Career

Sid-Ahmed Bouziane left his parents' home in Dijon at the age of 15 and moved to Italy in 2002 , where he was accepted into the youth department of Sampdoria Genoa . This year, he finally also denied a game for the first team in the then Serie B played. In the following season he was at Solbiatese Arno Calcio on loan for which it 15 games in the series D completed. In 2004 the central midfielder received an offer from the Ticino club FC Chiasso . There he played in four games in the Challenge League , but could not impose himself. A year later he moved to FC La Chaux-de-Fonds . With the Neuchâtel people , he was mainly noticed because of his accuracy. Bouziane scored 16 goals in 33 games in the 2006/07 season. At the end of the season he joined Servette FC Genève for two years , where a long period of suffering began for him.

The Frenchman injured his meniscus during one of the first training sessions in Geneva in September 2007 and had to undergo an operation. After Bouziane could be used again, he played three games before he was out again for several weeks in the spring of 2008 due to a muscle injury. At the beginning of 2009 the midfielder injured his right knee again and underwent another operation due to complications. In the course of two years Bouziane was only able to play in 23 games for Geneva due to his health problems, which did not extend the expiring contract. In the summer of 2009 he was therefore without a club.

Bouziane returned to his birthplace, where he temporarily trained with AS Quetigny . Finally, FC Thun put its trust in the French and signed him in February 2010 until the end of the season. The midfielder, who is considered a filigree technician, found his way back to his scoring danger at the Bernese Oberland and scored six goals in 12 games. Also thanks to the achievements of Zidou [ziˈdu], as Bouziane is called by his team-mates, FC Thun became the Challenge League champion this season and was promoted to the Axpo Super League .

Since FC Thun Bouziane did not offer a new contract, the midfielder was again without a club in the summer of 2010 before signing a contract with the Challenge League club Yverdon-Sport on October 21, 2010 until the end of the 2010/11 season. At Yverdon he has been a regular since then. After Yverdon's relegation to the 1st division in 2011, he moved to SR Delémont , which however fell victim to the reduction in the Challenge League a year later and was relegated to the new 1st division promotion . In August 2012 he moved to FC Le Mont-sur-Lausanne in the 1st League Classic and rose to the 1st League Promotion the following year.
