Siegfried Lehmann (born January 24, 1955 in Lieberose ) is a German politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 2006 to 2016 .

education and profession

Siegfried Lehmann attended elementary and secondary school in Radolfzell . After training as a technical draftsman at Allweiler AG in Radolfzell, he studied mechanical engineering at the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences from 1977 to 1980 . He then worked for two years as an expert at TÜV Baden , before completing a teaching degree specializing in manufacturing technology at the University of Stuttgart from 1982 to 1985 .

Since 1987 he has been teaching information technology and mathematics at the Hohentwiel trade school in Singen. For five years he was director of studies and specialist advisor at the secondary school office in the regional council .

Political activity

In 1979 Siegfried Lehmann was a founding member of the Greens and from 1983 to 1986 a member of the extended state board of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg . Since 1989 he has been chairman of the local council group of the Free Green List in the local council of the city of Radolfzell and since 1994 a member of the group of the green in the district council of the district of Constance . Since 2004 he has also been a member of the association assembly of the Hochrhein-Bodensee regional association .

In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg on March 26, 2006, he became a member of the 14th state parliament of Baden-Württemberg with a second mandate in constituency 56 (Constance) . In the state election on March 27, 2011, he was re-elected. He was able to prevail with 34.7% of the votes against Andreas Hoffmann from the CDU and moved into the 15th state parliament with the direct mandate. There he is responsible for vocational training, further education, youth and the planned nuclear repository in Benken, Switzerland . Since 2011 he has been chairman of the committee for culture, youth and sport and a member of the European committee.

On July 1, 2015, Lehmann lost to his challenger Nese Erikli in the party nomination for the state election in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 . This was elected to the state parliament for the 2016–2021 election period.
