Siegfried Meryn

Siegfried Meryn (born March 6, 1954 in Vienna ) is an Austrian internist .

Live and act

Meryn graduated from the Realgymnasium Schottenbastei in 1972 , studied medicine at the University of Vienna from 1972 to 1977 and did his doctorate in Vienna. From 1978 to 1984 he trained as an internal specialist at the I. Medical University Clinic and I. University Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He completed post-doctoral training at Hammersmith Hospital in London and conducted research with Rosalyn Sussman Yalow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City . Then he trained in hospital management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and in management at the Hernstein Institute . In 1987 he received the venia docendi for internal medicine.

Meryn works in the Teaching Center of the Medical University of Vienna. He was visiting professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.

Meryn claims to be the author of 250 publications in professional journals. He also wrote bestsellers in popular science.
