Siegfried Pausch (born November 1, 1941 in Zschorlau ; † November 29, 2004 ) was a German museologist and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Siegfried Pausch attended elementary and middle school in Schlema . From 1958 to 1959 he studied at the technical college for agriculture in Thurm . Between 1959 and 1960 he worked as a museum guide in the Schloßbergmuseum Chemnitz and from 1960 to 1964 and from 1967 to 1977 as a museum assistant in Burgk . Between 1961 and 1964 he completed a distance learning course in Weissenfels , which he completed as a museologist . Between 1979 and 1983 a distance learning course followed at the Humboldt University in Berlin , where he graduated as a diploma ethnographer in 1983.

From March 1, 1977 to December 31, 1991, Pausch was director of the Museum for Mining Folk Art in Schneeberg . During this time he was involved in several books and published magazine articles in the Erzgebirgische Heimatbl Blätter and other periodicals. From 1983 to 1990 he was a volunteer district monument curator in the Aue district . From October 1990, Siegfried Pausch was an honorary member of the supervisory board of the Schneeberg housing association.

Package was an Evangelical Lutheran, married and had three children.

politics

Siegfried Pausch had been a member of the CDU since 1960 . Between 1964 and 1967 he was CDU district secretary in Gera-Stadt and from 1965 to 1967 a member of the Gera city ​​council . From 1971 to 1977 he was a member of the Schleiz district council and from 1973 to 1977 chairman of the Schleiz district CDU. From 1979 to 1989 he was a member of the Schneeberg City Council. Between 1985 and 1990 Pausch was chairman of the CDU local group in Schneeberg.

In October 1990, Pausch was elected to the Saxon state parliament through constituency 70 (Aue II Zwickau. Land 11) . There he was a member of the Committee for Culture and Media and the Petitions Committee. He resigned his mandate on October 23, 1991 in connection with the review of the MPs for cooperation with the Ministry of State Security .
