Siegfried Zimmermann (born August 4, 1927 in Halle (Saale) , † April 28, 2012 in Hanover ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Zimmermann studied from 1947 to 1951 at the Werkkunstschule Hannover . Then he worked as a freelance artist. He created numerous works for furnishing churches in the Hanover area and beyond. In the years 1958–1992 he also held teaching positions at the University of Hanover . He lived in Hanover-Marienwerder .
