history

Sielach was founded in the 1950s as a workers' settlement and suburb of Sittersdorf. At that time, many residents were employed in the nearby and now closed cellulose factory Rechberg. In recent years, Sielach has been characterized by increased new construction activity. The bike path leading through the village is particularly popular.
