Sielhorst is a district of the town of Rahden in the Minden-Lübbecke district in North Rhine-Westphalia with around 800 inhabitants.

The area of Sielhorst is located in the western part of the municipality of Rahden, the place Sielhorst is about 3 km northwest of the center of Rahden. The rest of the area are scattered settlements that are spread over the fields and meadows.

The formerly independent municipality in the Rahden district (former Lübbecke district ) was incorporated into the town of Rahden on January 1, 1973. An area of 7 hectares with six inhabitants was assigned to the newly created municipality of Stemwede to the west .

The state road L765 connects Sielhorst with Rahden and Bulzendorf .

On February 25, 1896, the Sielhorster mutual fire insurance association was founded under the name "Association for the common bearing of fire damage", which today in Rahden, Marktstrasse 20, with a total of approx. 3500 customers from the region, risks in residential buildings, household goods, Inventory and photovoltaic insurance covers.
