Siggenamt

The Siggenamt had been conquest of Aargau by the Swiss in 1415 , a subunit of the county Baden .

It comprised the present-day communities of Endingen , Ennetbaden , Obersiggenthal , Tegerfelden , Untersiggenthal and Würenlingen . After the French invasion in March 1798 and the proclamation of the Helvetic Republic , the villages of the Siggenamt belonged to the canton of Baden . Since 1803 , the communities of Endingen, Tegerfelden and Unterendingen have belonged to the Zurzach district of the canton of Aargau, the other communities to the Baden district .
