Sigrid Borge (born December 3, 1995 in Hausvik ) is a Norwegian javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Sigrid Borge first appeared internationally at the Junior European Championships 2013 in Rieti , where she was eliminated with 44.92 m in qualification. The following year she qualified for the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she also did not reach the final with 49.42 m. In 2015 she was fifth at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn with 55.72 m. She also represented her country at the European team championships, but could only win one point for Norway. In 2016 she took part in the European Championships in Amsterdam for the first time and was eliminated there with 56.30 m in qualification.

In 2017 she again took part in the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where she finished fifth with 60.44 m. She also qualified for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated with 55.08 m in qualification . The following year she was eighth in the final at the European Championships in Berlin with 59.60 m.

Between 2016 and 2018, Borge was the Norwegian javelin champion.
