Sigrid Maria Schnückel

Sigrid Maria Schnückel (born September 9, 1966 in Oelde ) is a German theater and television series actress .

Life

After high school she trained as an office clerk and took a study of business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster on. However, this did not lead her to the end, but instead studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 1990 to 1993 .

In between, from 1991 to 1992 she took part in a speaker seminar at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich . During their training, they played at the Munich Kammerspiele the Clytemnestra in 1992 staged by Tatjana Rese Iphigenia .

In 1995 she accepted a teaching position at the Ernst-Busch-Schule in Berlin and is also active as a spokesperson for radio plays, audio books, features etc. for numerous radio stations and for the Random House publishing group .

After completing her acting training, she got an engagement at the Vienna Burgtheater from 1993 to 1995 ( Peritta in “ Das goldene Vlies ”).

This was followed by guest engagements in Weimar (1994), Berlin (1995–1996), Tübingen (1996–1998), Salzburg (1997), Ulm (1998–2000), Munich (2001), Berlin (2003), and in Dresden (2004).

2000–2007 she played the role of Melanie “Mel” Schmidt in the RTL series “ Behind the bars - Der Frauenknast ” . Through this role, she became known to a wider television audience. In 2012 Schnückel took part in the show "Behind the bars - The great reunion" alongside other former colleagues.
