Sigtryggur Daði Rúnarsson (born June 20, 1996 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player . He is the son of the Icelandic handball player Heiða Erlingsdóttir and the handball coach and former Icelandic handball national player Rúnar Sigtryggsson .

Sigtryggur Daði Rúnarsson first played for the Icelandic club Þór Akureyri . After his father became the coach of the second division EHV Aue in 2012 and the family moved to the Erzgebirge, he played for SG Nickelhütte Aue. From the 2013/14 season, the 1.87 meter tall back player was part of the EHV squad, for which he scored his first goal on November 10, 2013 in the game against Eintracht Hildesheim . For the 2017/18 season he moved to the second division HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . He has been running for VfL Lübeck-Schwartau since summer 2018 . From summer 2020 he will be under contract with the Icelandic club ÍBV Vestmannaeyja .

His uncle Árni Þór Sigtryggsson was also a handball player at EHV Aue.
