The Sikenica is a 46.7 km long river and a tributary of the Hron in Slovakia .

The source is located in the Schemnitz Mountains east of the built-up center of Vysoká and northwest of Dekýš . On the first section, the Sikenica accompanies the 2nd order road 524 and reaches the Danube hill country in the Pukanec area and then flows south. After passing the towns of Bohunice , Bátovce and the edge of Žemberovce , the Sikenica reaches the nature reserve Horšianska dolina near Horša , which was proclaimed in 1976 , where the river flows briefly to the southwest and then passes through Krškany , Kalinčiakovo , the edge of Mýtne Ludany and crosses the Perec west of Hontianska Vrbica . The river flows into the Hron to the south-east of Šarovce and west of Kukučínov .
