Sila is a region of Chad . Its capital is Goz Beïda . The region has about 289,776 inhabitants (2009). The region was created on February 19, 2008 by the division of the Wadai region (French Ouaddaï).

Sila is located in the east of the country, on the border with the Darfur region in Sudan . The region is mainly located in the Sahel zone .
