Silvio Bagolini

Silvio Bagolini (born August 4, 1914 in Bologna , † September 26, 1976 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Bagolini attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and graduated in drama. During the 1930s and the war years, he showed great empathy and a considerable range in his supporting roles. His not exactly beautiful facial features, combined with a naive smile and a high-pitched speaking voice made him an actor for fearful, shy people who are, however, permeated with great warmth. During the 1950s he mainly played this type of role, now alongside colleagues such as Marcello Mastroianni and Alberto Sordi . Towards the end of his career, he was increasingly cast as a curious age in genre films . His filmography includes 140 titles.

In addition to his acting activities, Bagolini also devoted himself to painting and sculpture.
