Die or Kill (Original title: Killer calibro 32 ) is a 1967 spaghetti western with Peter Lee Lawrence in the lead role. The moderately budgeted film was first shown in the German-speaking area on June 20, 1968.

action

Again and again, the carriage carrying cash to the Carson City Bank is ambushed by a group of seven masked men. Finally, all passengers were killed because one of them recognized the leader of the group. Gunslinger Silver is tasked with finding the bandits.

Silver lets the rumor spread that he knows some of the masked men; as a result, an assassination attempt is carried out on him, which puts him on the trail of those responsible. Silver is also troubled by the sheriff hired against him and two local women: the daughter of a murdered bank employee and the saloon owner. Despite all the problems, Silver can solve the task.

criticism

"The director's best western, which treads similar ground to the first film in the series ( Die upright, gringo! ), But with a better script and a considerably more respectable cast," writes Christian Keßler in his book about the genre. The lexicon of international films notes, above all, about the synchronization by Rainer Brandt : "Tough and stereotypical spaghetti westerns, whose speech-knocking heroes" surround the aura of a comic figure. "The local criticism was harsh:" It is not worth talking about this film , one of the worst productions on the market, with a bunch of fake beards and faces twisted with anger. "

Remarks

Almost all those involved were listed with an English pseudonym. Maurizio Graf sings the film song "Amica Colt" .
