Two idiot against Django (original title: Due Rrringos nel Texas ) is a spaghetti western -Komödie of Franco & Ciccio that parodied the genre several times. The German-language premiere was on February 13, 1970.

Ciccio is charged with the immediate pursuit and is able to catch Franco, but then they meet a stranger who promises them a handsome sum of money for sending a message to his girlfriend Evelyn; the news revolves around the coffin of an Archie Stanton, which is believed to be home to a much larger treasure. The catch is that the duo, who had now scrambled together, was not told the location of the cemetery; in addition, "Sentenza Jane" (in the German version: Leder-Jane) is after the 200,000 dollars she cheated on her ex-husband - the stranger with the news - for.
Franco, Ciccio and "Django" walk into a Bruce's saloon and carelessly reveal their secret; then Bruce and his accomplice - hence the wanted Evelyn - want to steal "Django", who prevents this request with a few targeted kicks and also scouts the location of the cemetery. On the way to the place of desire, however, they are captured by a northerner patrol (they had long since exchanged their uniforms for civilian clothes) and are drafted against their will by their captain; not necessarily as a military reinforcement, because the bridge guarded by his men led to a truce with the southerners, but as a successful "food" for an occasional exchange of prisoners. The planned arrest while fishing by the gray skirts, also led by a captain, gets out of hand thanks to Ciccio's use of dynamite, and "Django" can help the two idiots out of a tight spot one more time. Finally arriving at the cemetery, Leder-Jane and her entourage as well as the couple Bruce / Evelyn have also found their way there. The digging turns into a flop: When Archie Stanton's coffin is opened, there is only a piece of paper with the sobering message that he has stolen the money from himself. On the way back, the disappointed are also ambushed by hostile Indians - Franco and Ciccio can of course again rely on the smart "Django" who pretends behind a hill with a flag and trumpet that the cavalry is approaching.
criticism
The lexicon of international films complained about the “idiotic slapstick entertainment with grimacing main actors.” Christian Keßler criticized the German dubbing, which “contains numerous apparently poorly translated puns that give the film an almost surreal touch.” Film Mese was also not enthusiastic , The comedians used situations from well-known films, but (with almost 15 films a year) only provided badly presented comic copies of the originals.
Remarks
The movie song Siamo rimasti in tre is sung by I Cantori Moderni . "Django" is originally called "Ciro" and is a horse. 343 million lire was a good box-office result in Italy as usual for the actors.
