Silvio José Báez Ortega OCD (born April 28, 1958 in Masaya ) is auxiliary bishop in Managua .
Life
Silvio José Báez Ortega joined the Order of the Discalced Carmelites and was ordained a priest on January 15, 1985 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on April 9, 2009 titular bishop of Zica and auxiliary bishop in Managua . The Archbishop of Managua, Leopoldo José Brenes Solórzano , donated him episcopal ordination on May 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were César Bosco Vivas Robelo , Bishop of León de Nicaragua , and Henryk Józef Nowacki , Apostolic Nuncio in Nicaragua .
