The Silzer See is a small reservoir of the Klingbach in the southern Palatinate Forest , the German part of the Wasgau ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).

The Woog , as such artificially created still waters are called in southwest Germany , is located in the district of Südliche Weinstrasse at about 205 m above sea level. NHN 250 m west of the residential area of the local community Silz , after which it takes its name. It is reached via the state road 493 , which connects Silz with the Vorderweidenthal and has a turnoff to the right immediately after Silz, which leads directly to the lake. Surroundings
The 100-hectare wildlife and hiking park Südliche Weinstrasse extends just south of Lake Silzer . Within a few kilometers there are numerous historical castles , for example Lindelbrunn , Berwartstein or Drachenfels .
