The Simbach (Inn) Station is an operating agency of the railway line from Munich to Simbach and border station between Germany and Austria . It is located in the Lower Bavarian town of Simbach am Inn .
location
Simbach train station is located about 400 meters southwest of the city center of Simbach. The railway station's track system extends over a length of about 1.5 kilometers from southwest to northeast parallel to the Inn , which runs 400 meters southeast of the station. The station building is north of the tracks on Bahnhofsplatz. In the northwest, the station is bordered by Bahnhofstrasse and Adolf-Kolping-Strasse, and in the southeast by Lagerhausstrasse.
The station is on route kilometers 113.804 of the single-track and non-electrified main line from Munich East via Mühldorf to Simbach ( route number 5600). To the east of the train station, the route bends in a right-hand bend to the southeast and crosses the Inn and the German-Austrian border on a 400-meter-long bridge . At the border, at kilometer 115.087, it merges with the Innkreisbahn via Braunau to Neumarkt-Kallham . In the east head of the station, the single-track branch line branched off to the northeast via Tutting to Pocking (route number 5727), which began in Simbach at 0.0 km.
Reception building
The reception building dating from 1871 (110 meters long and 21 meters wide) is available as a monument under preservation and is in the Bavarian monument list registered. It is a

At peak times 700 people were employed here.
In front of the station building, the museum steam locomotive 52 8034 decorates the station forecourt .
Service facilities
The station building houses a travel center for the Südostbayernbahn , which also operates the train service, a waiting room and a kiosk. The main platform on track 1 is 220 meters long and 55 centimeters high, the island platform on tracks 2 and 3 is 225 meters long and 38 centimeters high. It can be reached through an underpass.

The railway systems are controlled from a pushbutton interlocking. Simbach is the border station to the Austrian Federal Railways . The closest train station is on the other side of the Inn Braunau am Inn .
Historically, the Simbach – Pocking railway branched off in Simbach and has been shut down and dismantled for a long time . The route is partly used as a cycle path.
