Simon Desue (* August 20, 1991 in Hamburg as Joshua Weißleder ) is a German web video producer , actor , musician and author . His YouTube channel is one of the most subscribed channels in Germany .
Life
Desue's father comes from the Ivory Coast . Just before starting school at the age of five, he lived there for a year. When civil war broke out there, he returned to his mother in Hamburg. Desue opened the YouTube channel HalfcastGermany in July 2009 . In his first successful video, he criticizes the Internet platform SchülerVZ .
In 2011 Desue made guest appearances on the television programs Die Schulermittler on RTL and on taff on ProSieben . In 2013 he worked on Celebrity Big Brother on Sat.1 . There he met reality show participant Natalia Osada , with whom he was then briefly in a relationship.
In 2013, ZDF and Spiegel reported about him. Desue has no education and earns his living exclusively on YouTube. It belongs to the YouTube network TubeOne Networks . In 2015 he played the role of Helmut in the feature film Potato Salad - Don't Ask! .
In June 2016 Desue left Cologne and moved to Miami . From there he continued to produce web videos. In 2017 he returned to his hometown of Hamburg with his girlfriend, whom he had met in Miami and with whom he had already lived there.
