Simone Oberstein

Simone Oberstein (* 1979 in Düren ) is a German musician , singer-songwriter and street musician .

Life

Simone Oberstein comes from Düren, near Cologne . She sings and plays the guitar .

She writes her own songs in German and English and has gained stage experience in various projects and bands. She is also regularly on the road as a street musician.

In 2007 she won a guest appearance in the support program for Martin Kilger in a talent competition . This performance was followed by others throughout Germany, where Simone was on stage together with Metaphysics (rapper for the sons of Mannheim ).

Since 2009 she has been a regular guest at Michael Hirte's concerts and tours (winner of Das Supertalent 2008). During this time she was on big stages with musicians such as Michael Holderbusch (2nd place in Das Supertalent 2010), Gino Badagliacca (2nd place in Das Supertalent 2007), Kathy Kelly ( Kelly Family ), or Ronny Weiland . In 2011 she released her first CD (Bei mir), which was produced by Michael Hirte. Like Simone, Michael Hirte cannot read sheet music and, like her, is self-taught in music . They also share the experience of street music.

In 2013 she and her street music colleague Thomas Schlueter were voted “Most Popular Street Musician 2013” ​​as part of the third season of WDR in the show daheim & Unterwegs. This enables Simone and Thomas to accompany Konstantin Wecker at a concert.

In 2014 she appeared for the first time on ARD . As part of the Höhner Advent concert she could be seen and heard together with other artists ( Susanne Pätzold , Michael Hirte , Sr. Jordana Schmidt and the Cologne youth choir St. Stephan ) and around 1,500 musicians.
