Siraba Dembélé (born June 28, 1986 in Dreux , France ) is a French handball player . She plays for the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest and in the French national handball team .
Career
Siraba Dembélé began playing handball at HBC Vallée d'Avre in 1996. In the 2003/04 season she ran for Dreux AC. The winger then played for Mérignac handball for four years. After Dembélé was then a season at Issy-les-Moulineaux under contract, she joined Toulon Saint-Cyr Var handball . With Toulon, she won the French championship in 2010 and the French cup in 2011 and 2012. From 2012 she ran for the Danish first division club Randers HK . From 2013 she was under contract with the Macedonian first division club ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With ŽRK Vardar SCBT she won the Macedonian Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and the Macedonian Cup in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In the summer of 2016, she joined GK Rostov-on-Don . With Rostov she won the EHF Cup in 2017 and the Russian championship in 2017 and 2018. In the summer of 2018, Dembélé returned to Toulon Saint-Cyr Var Handball. For the 2020/21 season, Dembélé moved to the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest .
Dembélé made her international debut for the French national team on May 26, 2006 against Turkey . The right-hander took part in the 2012 Olympic Games with the French team. She won the gold medal at the 2017 World Cup and the silver medal at the 2009 and 2011 World Cups . At the 2017 World Cup, she was also elected to the All-Star team. In 2006 she won the bronze medal at the European Championships. She won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . She won the bronze medal at the 2016 European Championships . At the European Championships in 2018 , she won the gold medal in her own country.
