The Sixenmühle is one of 24 districts of the Baden-Württemberg community Stimpfach in the Schwäbisch Hall district . The village forms a northeastern exclave of Stimpfach and is separated from the rest of the municipality in the northwest by the Crailsheim district of Oßhalden and in the south by the Fichtenau district of Großenhub .

The homestead lies at an altitude of 452  m above sea level. NHN on the northern bank of the Brunnenbach, a large left tributary of the Reiglersbach . The Sixenmühle is about seven kilometers from the south-west of Stimpfach.

history

At the end of the Holy Roman Empire , the village was owned by the prince provost of Ellwangen . The Hohenzollern Brandenburg-Ansbach claimed high jurisdiction over the place, but failed to enforce this requirement. With the secularization of the priesthood in 1802, the village was forcibly taken over by the Kingdom of Württemberg . After that, the Sixenmühle belonged to the newly created Oberamt Crailsheim and became part of the independent rural community of Weipertshofen , which also includes the hamlets of Gerbertshofen and Steinbach am Wald , as well as the Höfe Hochbronn , Käsbach through the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Württemberg at the beginning of the 19th century , Klinglesmühle , Lixhof and Nestleinsberg belonged. Since 1975, after the entire municipality of Weipertshofen was integrated into the municipality of Stimpfach as part of the municipal regional reform, the homestead has been part of Stimpfach. In 2010 the Sixenmühle had one inhabitant.

traffic

The place is only connected to the public road network by several unpaved dirt roads. These connect the homestead with the Mittelmühle located half a kilometer west-southwest at the mouth of the Brunnenbach , the Großenhub one kilometer south and with the L 2218 state road, which runs past about two kilometers to the west .
