Sixteen (band)

Sixteen (from 1998: Seventeen ) was a Polish pop rock band that existed from 1997 to 2004.

Career

The band's debut album, Lawa , was a huge hit in Poland and received a platinum record. The group was selected internally by the Telewizja Polska broadcaster to represent Poland at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham. With the pop-rock song To takie proste they landed at number 17.

With the death of the guitarist Jarosław Pruszkowski in 1998 the band name changed to Seventeen and the singer Renata Dąbkowska left the group and started a solo career.
