Jorge Carlos Patrón Wong (born January 3, 1958 in Mérida , Yucatán state , Mexico ) is Curia Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Jorge Carlos Patrón Wong received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Yucatán on January 12, 1988 .

On October 15, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to Coadjutor Bishop of Papantla . The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , donated him episcopal ordination on December 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Yucatán , Emilio Carlos Berlie Belaunzarán , and the Archbishop of Jalapa , Hipólito Reyes Larios . On May 2, 2012, Jorge Carlos Patrón Wong became Bishop of Papantla, succeeding Lorenzo Cárdenas Aregullín , who resigned for reasons of age .

On September 21, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him to be secretary for the seminaries of the Congregation for the Clergy . He also gave him the personal title of archbishop.

Pope Francis sent him to the Archdiocese of Puerto Montt in Chile as an Apostolic Visitator in January 2019 .
