Joanna Klepko (born June 25, 1983 in Stettin ), better known by her stage name Cleo , is a Polish singer. She represented her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 together with Donatan with the song My Słowianie and came in 14th.

Life

Klepko completed her landscape architecture studies at the Warsaw University of Natural Sciences . She was a member of the Soul Connection gospel choir and took part in the first edition of the Studio Garaż national music competition, where she took first place in the Rhythm and Blues category. She has been working with Donatan since 2013.

On February 25, 2014, the Polish public television TVP announced in the talk show Świat się kręci that Cleo, together with Donatan and her song My Słowianie, represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen . The duo reached 14th place in the final with 62 points. If only the audience's vote is taken into account, the song would be among the top five with 162 points, which led to repeated criticism of the divided voting mode between audience voting and jury opinion at the Eurovision Song Contest.
