View of Scararbine

Skarbin ( Slovenian : Škrbin (j) a ) is a village with 21 inhabitants (as of 2001 census), which belongs to the market town of Grafenstein in Carinthia .

The small village of Skarbin is located around 710 m above sea level in the eastern Sattnitz , on the Skarbin plateau of the same name . The village is surrounded by large forests. To the east, the Sattnitz conglomerate falls partially perpendicular to the Drau. In the west the plateau descends to the Sabuatach depression. The arable and pasture areas of the Skarbin are shared by two farms, commonly known as Melcher and commonly known as Kaiser. In addition, some second homes have been built. Electrification did not take place until 1969. The place is about 20 kilometers north of the Austrian-Slovenian border, the Drau runs about one kilometer east of the village. Grafenstein, the center of the market town, is about 2.5 kilometers northwest of the village and can be reached by a road built in 1955.
